Heidelberg Karlsruhe Strategic Partnership

The strongest institutional bond between KIT and Heidelberg University was formed in the framework of the Excellence Initiative with the founding of the strategic Heidelberg Karlsruhe Research Partnership (HEiKA) in 2011. Its aim is to make use of synergies by combining competencies and to elevate the international visibility of the two universities.

HEiKA currently consists of six research bridges, three of which (advanced imaging platform, synthetic biology and organic electronics) are at the heart of the Cluster 3DMM2O.
