Networking

As science is a collaborative activity, networking is key to success. Furthermore, good networking skills provide a gateway to a successful career in academia or industry.

The networking measures connect Young Scientists from different Thrusts and, therefore, from different scientific backgrounds in productive and conducive environments. The Young Scientists profit from the interdisciplinary competence and at the same time have a chance to build up a professional network that strengthens their position for future opportunities.

The HEiKA Graduate School on Functional Materials offers network events that facilitate scientific exchange like the Journal Club @ Lunch and the Discussion Hub “Successes and Challenges” or provide a perspective into industry like the Business Breakfast. The Cluster also organizes other events which can be found here.
